We can make our own arrangements for fitting, do you supply only?
Yes we will supply throughout the UK, but may ask you to supply us with measurements and sometimes drawings. Any deliveries will be charged at cost.
Do you carry out a free survey?
Yes, within a 110 mile radius of Bath and Bristol
Will I receive a sales call if I make an enquiry?
We have an excellent reputation for the strength of our products and service and pride ourselves on the experienced advice we are able to offer. It's entirely up to you on whether you choose to use us - we will not pester you with sales calls!
Do you provide a written Estimate or Quotation?
We normally provide a fixed price quotation valid for Up to 60 days. We will give an estimate for any work that cannot be quantified at the survey.
What are your normal payment terms?
We ask for a 25% deposit when we are presented with the order, a further 50% when we have completed any joinery manufacture; with the final 25% payable on the day we complete the installation. With supply only, we take a 25% deposit, with the balance payable on delivery.
How can I pay?
Cash, cheque, bankers draft or Pay Pal. We may require cheques to clear before we part with goods, subject to status.
How can I be assured my deposit is safe?
All deposits are underwritten by an insurance company
What happens if I wish to cancel after I have placed my order?
You'll have a short time to change your mind after which we will charge to the value of the work carried out to the time of cancellation.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes - a 5 year guarantee is included. Customers also have the option to upgrade this to a 10 year insurance-backed guarantee for an additional fee.
What is your lead time?
We try to work to a 6-8 week lead time, but will advise you if we think the job will take longer to start. If you need the work done quickly we will do our best to accommodate it, within our own workload
What happens after I place my order?
We will write to you with a receipt and provisional date. We will telephone arrange to carry out any final measurements and contact you when the manufacturing is complete to arrange delivery or installation.
What happens when you have completed the work?
We will inform you and invite you or your agent to inspect and provide any feedback.
Do I need to comply with building regulation?
If you are having your windows replaced we are FENSA registered and will present the work for certification. Repair, upgrade or partial replacement does not normally need to be regulated.
My building is listed, what do I need to do?
You need to apply for listed building consent with your local authority to carry out any alterations. You may have to provide sectional, elevation drawings together with a plan of the local area highlighting your property.
What if I live in a conservation area?
Any external alterations may be covered by a covenant stipulating style of windows.
What happens if any unforeseen work is required that was not picked up on the survey?
We always try to be as thorough as possible, however, due to the nature of the work, occasionally unforeseen problems arise. We do not carry out any chargeable extra work without first asking permission.
What are your requirements whilst on site?
We require a mains electricity supply, access to water and use of a toilet.
Is any preparation required?
We ask that we are given a clear area to work in, we advise that any soft furnishings are removed or covered. We will provide dust sheets for carpet protection and polythene sheets to cover any furniture. We will tidy and vacuum up at each stage of the job and at the end of each day.
Do you remove waste from site?
We are happy to remove all waste to a designated place on site. We can arrange transportation and disposal at cost price or if you wish, you are welcome to make your own arrangements.
